Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about Age of Gods: Breakfront, Duels, saves, the store and your account. Updated October 25, 2026.
Age of Gods: Breakfront
What is Age of Gods: Breakfront?
A single-player lane-battle card game. You build a 20-god deck and fight rivals across six wheels of myth: 600 painted gods from 24 pantheons, 107 rivals, six Spiral Campaigns, tournaments, the Endless Gauntlet and optional online Duels.
Where can I play it?
The free demo plays in your browser on the demo page. The full game is on Android, and early access for PC, Mac, Linux and Android is in the Doney Games store.
What is in the free demo?
Wheel I: 100 gods from the Greek, Roman, Norse and Egyptian pantheons, their rivals and the Wheel I Spiral Campaign. With a free account the demo can also play online Duels, against opponents from every wheel.
Is there an iPhone or iPad version?
Not yet. Apple only allows iPhone apps through the App Store, so an iOS version will come through there. The browser demo works on iPhone and iPad today.
Are there ads or in-app purchases?
No. You buy the game once. Every god is earned by playing: match points buy gods at the Shrine, and nothing in the game is sold for real money.
Does it need the internet?
Only for Duels. Everything else plays offline, with no account.
How do I open the next wheel?
Conquer the current wheel's Spiral Campaign: beat every rival on the spiral, then take the Throne. Each wheel brings 100 new gods, 16 rivals, battlefields, Doctrines and its own campaign. Conquering Wheel VI calls down the six Ascendants.
What are Hybrid rivals and Ascendants?
Hybrids play decks that mix two pantheons from two different wheels and switch play styles mid-match when they fall behind. Ascendants are the six hardest rivals: each rides one spoke across all six wheels and reads your deck.
Where are the Legends cards?
Legends are ordinary cards of their own pantheons now. They open with their wheel and are bought at the Shrine like any other god, so there is nothing extra to download.
I found a bug. Where do I report it?
Post it on the Bug reports board or use the contact form. Include your device and the game version from the title screen.
Saves and devices
Where is my progress saved?
On your own device: in the app on Android, in your browser for the demo and the PC edition. Nothing is stored online.
How do I move my progress to another device?
Options → Export save makes a backup file. On the other device, choose Import save on the title screen and pick that file. It works between the demo, the PC edition and Android.
Does my demo progress carry over to the full game?
Yes. Export your save in the demo (Options → Export save) and import it in the full game from the title screen.
Can I lose my progress?
Clearing your browser's site data removes a browser save, and uninstalling the app removes an Android save. Export a save from time to time to keep a backup.
I updated to 4.0. Did I lose anything?
No. Every card you own stays yours, every pantheon you could use stays usable, conquered campaigns still count and ladder progress follows your rivals. Only a campaign run in progress has to start again, because the spirals changed shape.
Duels (online play)
What do I need to play Duels?
An internet connection and a free Doney Games account, the same one as the community boards. Create one on the account page.
What modes are there?
Private Match with a six-character code for a friend, Quick Match with whoever is waiting, and Ranked, rated monthly with a leaderboard. Each mode has Skirmish, Battle and War.
What is a ghost?
If nobody is waiting after 30 seconds in Quick Match, you play a ghost: a recent player's deck, played by the server. Ghost matches pay match points but are never rated. Ranked always waits for a real player.
Can my deck become a ghost?
Yes, unless you turn it off: Duel → “Let my decks play as a ghost”. Each time someone plays your ghost you earn 10 match points, or 35 if it wins (up to 300 a day), collected the next time you open Duels.
Duels says I need to update. Why?
Both players need the same version so matches play by the same rules. Update the app, or download the latest version from your library.
Store and downloads
What is early access?
The complete current version of the game, sold here before it reaches the app stores. One purchase gives the PC, Mac and Linux edition and the Android app, plus every update. It does not include a copy from Google Play or another store.
How do I install the PC, Mac or Linux edition?
Unpack the zip anywhere and open index.html. The game plays offline in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. To update, unpack the new version into the same folder: your progress stays.
How do I install the Android app from the store?
Download the APK on your phone and open it. Android asks you to allow installs from your browser the first time. It is a separate app from the Google Play version, so both can be installed.
Where are my downloads?
On your order page (bookmark it) and in your library when you sign in with the email you paid with. Download links expire for safety; opening the page again gives fresh ones.
What is on the soundtrack?
Volume 1: 26 tracks, about 79 minutes, short enough for a single CD. The main theme, a theme for every one of the 24 pantheons and a second Norse theme, as tagged MP3s.
Do I get new editions of the strategy guide?
Yes. When the guide is updated, download the new edition from your library at no cost.
Can I get a refund?
If a download does not work or an item is not as described, email [email protected] within 30 days and we will fix it or refund you. See the store terms.
Who handles payment?
Stripe takes the payment, handles any sales tax or VAT and sends your receipt. We never see your card details.
Accounts and privacy
Do I need an account?
Only for Duels and the community boards. The game, the demo and the store work without one; signing in lets your library list your purchases.
What does the game collect?
Nothing when you play offline: no ads, analytics or tracking. Duels keep a record of each match for the leaderboard. Details are in the Breakfront privacy policy.
How do I delete my account?
Email [email protected] from the address on the account and we will delete it and its personal data.
How old do I need to be for an account?
13 or older. The offline game collects no information from anyone.
